You must also make sure our professional assembly crew can access the site; if there is more than a 50-foot difference between the delivery truck and site, additional labor fees may be charged.

• Will you need to certify your structure?

-Certified structures have been designed and engineered to meet all local building codes as well as local wind and snow load ratings. Depending your area’s requirements and typical weather conditions, you may or may not need to certify your carport. For information regarding your local building codes, requirements, and permits, you will need to speak with your local ordinances. All permits must be pulled BEFORE we install your unit.

• What gauge of frame will you need to use?

-There are two available options for framing; 12- and 14- gauge. While both options will provide the strength needed to keep your building standing, they each of their own pros and cons. With a diameter of 2 ¼” x 2 ¼”, the 12-gauge tubing is the stronger, thicker option available; it is recommended to customers who are installing their building in an area prone to extreme weather conditions. The 14-gauge is the industry’s standard size with a diameter of 2 ½” x 2 ½”; however, it is much easier to work with as it is thinner and has more give.
